New Policies in 2002 and Online Submission/Refereeing

In July 2000 Plant and Cell Physiology (PCP) started as an online journal thanks to the technical help of Nakanishi Printing, Oxford University Press (OUP) and Stanford University’s HighWire Press. The journal has never been more popular, its impact factor in 2000 increased to 2.311, and total access to PCP online was over 250,000 "hits" in 2001. And PCP is still developing.
