Cytochrome c' Isolated from Achromobacter xylosoxidans GIFU 1055

Cytochrome c' has been isolated from Achromobacter xylosoxidans GIFU 1055. The absorption spectra of the oxidized and the reduced forms are almost the same as those of cytochromes c' found so far. The reduced form combines with CO and NO. The hemoprotein is a basic protein and consists of two identical subunits with a molecular weight of 14,000. It is readily autooxidizable with midpoint redox potential of + 111 mV at pH 7.2.
