   Introduction
 
I am very happy to inform you that Plant and Cell Physiology has seen developments in 2006. The number of manuscripts submitted to Plant and Cell Physiology in 2006 is a little less than in 2005 (513). However, the quality of the submitted papers has improved. The 2005 impact factor was 3.317, which marks 10 years of constant growth.
