CHOICE OF BIOASSAY IN ASSESSING ACTIVITY OF ENDOGENOUS GROWTH SUBSTANCES1

LAWRENCE RAPPAPORT, SHULAMITH BLUMENTHAL-GOLDSCHMIDT2 and FUMIHIKO HAYASHI3

Department of Vegetable Crops, University of California Davis, California 95616, U.S.A.

The essentiality of selecting a satisfactory array of bioassays, coupled with a thorough extraction procedure, is emphasized.
