Incubation of cucumber cotyledons with fusicoccin increased their fresh weights and chlorophyll levels and this effect was enhanced by KCl. Addition of fusicoccin to this combination increased fresh weights but decreased chlorophyll levels. This suggests that the effects of fusiccocin on these two processes are probably mediated via different mechanisms.
